Christmas Gifts Tiffany La Duree Macarons and Crisis

That's the Tiffany's Christmas Tree at Excelsior, the prestigious mall for those rich people living in Milan, who can afford purchasing there. I could take pics, at least. The long queue to get the famous return to Tiffany collection items, in silver, makes these jewels something incredibly precious, even if  not exclusive, as a luxury object should be.
This time I went for macarons:

you can have six for 14 euro, their delicious flavor lasts for hours in you mind, as if memory was a sixth sense to maintain the perception of the taste. Believe me, it is worth  investing money in the experience of buying La Duree macarons, the sweets boutique most chic in the world. They are exclusive. They come from Paris, fresh and fragrant everyday (yes, I am aware, they are not Km 0, just like the Sacher torte I bought in Bolzan few years ago, that is why, to contribute lowering the impact of CO2 emissions, I have started baking them at home. They will not be french, but you cannot deny they are not original :)

Shopping in Venice and spritz in a Bacaro

What a surprise to find so many stylish shops in Venice! Not only masques and fragile glass objects this time. Wandering along the narrow calli and campielli, in the Accademia's area, just behind the Peggy Guggeneim's museum, I found the stole and the scarf of this pic, together with smaller accessories, like clips and earrings, all made in this boiled wool fabric which can be modelled according to your own taste.
After shopping go to a typical bacaro to have the famous spritz, or prosecco accompanied with the unique finger food (just like the spanish tapas, really similar), we found a really nice one behind the Rialto Bridge area, called Cantina Do Spade in calle do spade 19, San Polo. You cannot miss it.http://www.cantinadospade.it/, we have been told it is one of the oldest in Venice.

Bonya Red - My new Chie Mihara's shoes

I know, we are approaching winter, the coldest season, however I could not resist, I could  not help buying these marvellous sandals., red Christmas I would say!  Just to fight the Crisis, purchased as an exception, as a Christmas present.
At first I had some doubts about the heels, too high for me... However the incredible softness of the sole, fit for my feet, reassured me and I can wear them with nonchalance, at home, waiting for the sun! Thanks again, Chie!

Drink Pink - Champagne

On her last trip to France, in the Champagne region, a dear friend of mine noticed this exquisitely dressed bottle. This peculiar suit makes the taste even more delicious. Congrats to the designer who had the idea of dressing the brand like that, as I firmly believe that Champagne is for women, it is now more inviting and provoking so to urge the purchase!! What a trap for a yeasty girl!

Maxxi - Architecture on Fashion

A long time ago, my land lady in Canterbury confessed she had never been to the Canterbury Cathedral in her life. I was astonished at that time as I could not think of any roman, for instance, not visiting, just like my land lady,  the main historic monument of Rome: the Colosseum. However I have to admit, I did the same with Maxxi, the National Museum for Contemporary Arts in Rome. I only went there few weeks ago after repeating to myself for more than a year:"It's in Rome, I will go sooner or later..".

Vintage on Fashion - Next Vintage at Belgioioso

Would you happen to open your grandma wardrobe and find among laces and buttons, some awkward dress from the Sixties you could wear now as if it was a unique creation?
Shouldn't you have this occasion, I would suggest that you feel at least this overwhelming emotion at Belgioioso Castle.
From 12 to 15 October there will be held the hugest exhibit/market on Vintage fashion in Italy. I have never been there, however it is really well worth going. You might come back with a good bargain and a extraordinary piece for your closet.
Will post some new pics about my grandma's "collection", mostly clothes that she used to sew for herself, as she was a tailor.
