Dior Bois d'Argent
While trying to find an escape from the crowd squeezing me at La Rinascente in Milan ( a hint of internationality in our beloved provincial Italy), I found myself in front of the Dior Perfumery stand and I could not avoid smelling musky mist vanishing in the air. A young and courteous shop assistant just beside me, since I could not move at all, stuck as I was between hundreds people, offered me to try the new Dior fragrances, being sold, she affirmed, in a limited edition in only other 12 places in the world. These fragrances are unisex, and the marketing strategy is to make them elitary. Oh yes it smelled good, this Bois d' Argent, on my skin, sugary and sweet almond, with a reminiscence of musk, but I will leave it to the noble ladies of the North of Italy... who can afford the unreasonable price requested.
Eau Duelle
This perfume, vanilla scent with a spicy touch of pink pepper, literally charmed me ever since I have tried it on. You may perceive a light tobacco's hint too, that is why Eau Duelle by Diptyque, is not a common vanilla scented perfume.
I bought it at Olfattorio in Rome, via di Ripetta 34, not simply a perfumery, a real bar à parfums, where you can ritually "taste" the several scents recommended by the shop assistant. An experience.
